Ceremony #1: Sharing
Ceremony #1 was a performative experience in which I led a group of individuals through a series of rituals in order to create a specific bond and mutual understanding. In this ceremony, we shared details about our lives and experiences, our understanding of each other, food, eye contact, and an eventual communal purifying bath in a river.
Artifacts of Obadaism
This exhibit on a collection of artifacts around the religion of Obadaism sought to tell the story of a history culture through the tools of a museum. These objects and their descriptions do some work to contextualize their place in the religion of Obadaism and that religions place in the broader world, but foreground certain missing elements, areas where the institution fails them.
